Snow...

"There is nothing in the world more beautiful
than the forest clothed to its very hollows in snow.
It is the still ecstasy of nature, wherein every spray,
every blade of grass, every spire of reed,
every intricacy of twig, is clad with radiance."

 WILLIAM SHARP
1855-1905

The house and garden looked so beautiful in the recent snow...

  Byeways House in the snow.

 Steps...

Looking across the lawn to the back of the house...

  The main lawn...

The view across to the fields...

 Well, a colander...

Snowy hydrangea heads.

Icicles hanging from the bathroom window...

 Beautiful snow patterns...

 And some more...

And some more...

Snow covered branches.

And more...

 And more...

And more...

My favourite tree with dad's bench.

The horses in the field at the back of the house.

View across the fields to the woods.

The meadow.

 Porch...

 Swife Lane.

"I played a heap of snow in a school play.

I was under a sheet, and crawled out when spring came.
I often say I'll never reach the same artistic level again."
